About the Course:
There is one thing that all trade jobs have in common. Whether it’s plumbing, electrical, wood working, automotive repair or home repair, they all involve STEM. 

Expected Outcomes:
Participants will:

  • Learn how various STEM fields contribute to best practices used in trade fields.

BSA Requirements:
Scouts will complete the following requirements of Electricity Merit Badge: 2,3,4,5,6,7,8; Plumbing Merit Badge: 1,2,4,5; Wood Working MB: 1a, 2a and 3a; Automotive Repair: 5,6,7,8 and 12; Home Repair: 4,5,6

This course is open to all youth in grades 9 – 12. We look forward to learning with all genders whether you are currently a Scout or not!

Teaching leadership & values while providing recreational activities for children of all ages, the Cradle of Liberty Council, Boy Scouts of serves more than 16,500 young people in Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Delaware counties. About the Instructors: Ed Trauffer and Mike Kain (and Additional Guests)
Our instructors are subject-matter experts either through their profession or hobby-related experiences, and are trained in the BSA Youth Protection training that includes safety measures online.
