GIANT Food Stores joins the Satell Institute with multiple four-year commitments, including their support for Liberty USO. Liberty USO is the local affiliate of the World United Service Organization. They have served the military personnel in our region for over 75 years providing care packages, entertainment and morale boosts to active duty service members and their families. Additionally, they provide career transition support to help military members transition back into civilian life after their service is complete.
Opening its first store in 1923 in Carlisle, Pa., where the company remains headquartered today, GIANT Food Stores has proudly served its customers for more than 95 years. At the core of GIANT is a longstanding history of giving back to the community. Long before it was considered trendy, GIANT leadership felt it was imperative to enrich the community by giving back. Through strategic partnerships with local food banks, children’s hospitals and schools, GIANT has donated back to the community more than $100 million over the last five years.
