Bank of America has joined the Satell Institute Collective Force as a founding corporate affiliate by making a four-year commitment to Junior Achievement of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Junior Achievement is dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. Junior Achievement’s programs, which reached over 27,000 students in the Philadelphia area last year, are focused in the content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.
Bank of America’s partnership with Junior Achievement of Southeastern Pennsylvania spans many years and involves both event sponsorship and direct volunteering. Bank of America sponsors Junior Achievement’s annual Philadelphia Business Hall of Fame Event, which recognizes deserving members of the community for the positive mentorship they represent to Junior Achievement’s children. Bank of America employees also volunteer their time to teach several Junior Achievement programs, including their “Be Entrepreneurial” Program, which challenges high-school students to start their own entrepreneurial venture.
