Excitement Builds for SI’s First National CEO Conference and Nonprofit Leadership Summit
More than 750 high-profile business leaders will travel to Philadelphia for two days of conversations about Corporate Social Responsibility and community impact.
Since its founding a decade ago, the Satell Institute has embraced a simple motto: “Community is EVERY leader’s business.”
There’s no clearer proof of how deeply that idea has taken hold than the unprecedented excitement surrounding SI’s first-ever National CEO Conference and Nonprofit Leadership Summit.
To be held on May 11th and May 12th at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, the events — part of America’s Semiquincentennial — will draw more than 750 business leaders from nine states (plus the District of Columbia) and three countries.
Attendees will hear from an outstanding lineup of world-class speakers and have the chance to engage in deep conversations about Corporate Social Responsibility — sharing ideas on the best ways for for-profit and nonprofit organizations to partner on improving communities.
An Amazing Lineup of Speakers
Both the CEO Conference and Nonprofit Leadership Summit will begin with an Honor Guard of Boy and Girl Scouts presenting the Colors, including the Semiquincentennial flag celebrating America’s 250th!
The CEO Conference — to be held on May 12 — will include a keynote panel featuring SI Member Paige Alexander, CEO of The Carter Center, founded by Nobel Prize-winning President Jimmy Carter. Joining Alexander will be fellow SI members A.J. Jordan, President of the Vanguard Group Foundation, and Geoff Brandon, Market President of TD Bank. The panel will be moderated by Tim McDermott, President of the Philadelphia Union.
The Nonprofit Summit — to be held on May 11 — will feature Michael Thatcher, CEO of Charity Navigator, the nation’s most trusted nonprofit evaluator. Also speaking will be SI Members David Griffith, Chair of the Modern Group and a nonprofit CEO, and Danielle Y. Scott, CEO of the Pincus Family Foundation.
In addition, David Finegold, one of SI’s Founding Members in Pittsburgh, will share an exciting opportunity for SI Nonprofit Affiliates to partner with America’s most prominent business schools through the Golub Capital Nonprofit Board Fellows Network.
