Corporate Community Conversation: Today's State of Nonprofits

November 17, 2026 | 9:00am-10:30am | The Pittsburgh Foundation | Pittsburgh, PA

To make meaningful impact, Corporate Social Responsibility must be grounded in the realities of the community. This joint session from the Satell Institute and The Pittsburgh Foundation provided an up-to-date snapshot of the nonprofit ecosystem to help companies strengthen their partnerships and strategies for good.

The conversation centered on scenario planning, including the lasting effects of the recently resolved Pennsylvania budget impasse and federal shutdown, as well as how emerging federal policies are shaping the work of nonprofits across Southwestern Pennsylvania.

We were joined by corporate, nonprofit, and CSR leaders from across the region, all committed to making informed, strategic investments in the community. Their engagement and dialogue made this a powerful and timely conversation.
