Virtual Art Club provides weekly artistic adventures in a small group, safe environment with highly skilled instructors. The club meets weekly within convenient after-school hours. Activities include exploration of the museum collection, experimentation with different art materials and techniques, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, comics, and mixed-media projects.

About the Course:
Virtual Art Club provides weekly artistic adventures in a small group, safe environment with highly skilled instructors. The club meets weekly within convenient after-school hours. Activities include exploration of the museum collection, experimentation with different art materials and techniques, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, comics, and mixed-media projects. Kids also develop communication skills and critical thinking skills. Club sessions run for 5 weeks, and each week is dedicated to a theme or one project. For the majority of the projects students will need white paper, construction paper, scissors, glue stick, coloring materials, pencil/eraser, and watercolors.

Each student will receive an Art Toolbox, by mail with specialized illustration supplies.* (* must register at least 10 days before the class start day to ensure timely delivery.)

The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) is the first and oldest museum and art school in the United States. It offers undergraduate, graduate, continuing education, pre-college, and youth and family programs for artists and art lovers of all ages and skill levels who want to learn about and make art.

About the Educator:
Class is developed and taught by professional art educators of diverse artistic and cultural backgrounds. They all have experience developing and implementing educational programs for different age groups and abilities, virtually and in-person.
