The David & Marjorie Rosenberg Family Foundation has joined the Satell Institute as a founding member by making a four-year pledge to Special Olympics Pennsylvania (SOPA). Special Olympics aims to help people with intellectual disabilities lead healthy, vibrant lives grounded in ongoing sports and physical activities, sound nutrition and a deeply held commitment to improve, compete, achieve and demonstrate their personal bests to themselves and their communities. In Pennsylvania alone, there are almost 20,000 Special Olympics athletes.
The Rosenberg family became involved with Special Olympics Pennsylvania through their annual Fall Festival held at Villanova University. The Fall Festival is the largest annual student-run Special Olympics event in the world. The David & Marjorie Rosenberg Family Foundation co-sponsors the Fall Festival every year, and Mr. and Mrs. Rosenberg have made deep connections with a number of athletes and volunteers during their time with Special Olympics Pennsylvania. Mr. Rosenberg currently sits on the Board of Directors and has also been instrumental in launching SOPA’s “Inclusion Revolution” campaign, making a lead gift in support of the campaign’s Healthy Athletes/Healthy Communities pillar.
