Comcast has joined the Satell Institute Collective Force by making a four-year commitment to the National Urban League. The National Urban League is a historic civil rights organization dedicated to economic empowerment in order to elevate the standard of living in historically underserved urban communities. Each year, the National Urban League provides direct services that impact the lives of over two million people.
Comcast’s partnership with the National Urban League, which started in 2007, has included a multitude of projects. Comcast has provided the National Urban League with airtime for their “I Am Empowered” campaign, which focuses on the four main goals of education, jobs, housing and health. In addition to the in-kind support, the National Urban League and Comcast also team up for Comcast Cares Day, Comcast’s companywide celebration of its year-round commitment to community service. On top of these two powerful initiatives, Comcast also supports the National Urban League’s Annual Conference, the State of Black America Press Conference, the Conversation with Leaders Series, and the Equal Opportunity Awards Day Dinner.
